The Group will be joining the rest of Chesterfield District Scouts at the annual parade in town on Sunday 24th April to celebrate Saint George, the Patron Saint of Scouting.

All Beavers, Cubs & Scouts should try and attend in FULL, SMART uniform.

District Parade

We are asking all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to try their best to attend the District Parade through the town centre in FULL uniform – uniform top (if they have it or a blue/green top if they do not yet have their top), necker, navy blue or black trousers/skirt and smart black shoes.  Please ensure that youngsters have warm tops UNDER their uniform tops as they will not be wearing coats on parade (unless the weather conditions are extreme or very wet).

Arrive: 2pm ready to fall in for inspection at 2.10pm

Where: Rose Hill West (to the right as you face the Town Hall from the car park)

Following the inspection, the Parade will leave at 2.40pm and make its way to arrive at Chesterfield Parish Church (Crooked Spire) at 3.15 for a short service.

Route: Rose Hill East > Saltergate > Clarence Road > Rose Hill > Knifesmithgate

Following the service, the parade will return back through town to the town hall.

Route: Burlington Street > High Street > Soresby Street > Rose Hill

The Parade will be dismissed at the Town Hall at approximately 4.15pm

There will also be a rehearsal for flag bearers on Wednesday 20th April 6.30pm – 8pm at the Crooked Spire.  Flag Bearers and those taking part in the service should attend this rehearsal in FULL uniform – your child will be informed by the Section Leader if they need to attend.
