The fun starts at 11.30am (following the Easter Sunday service at St Michael’s), all games and activities are free for the youngsters to take part in and Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are asked to wear Scouting tops.

Group Family Camp

Posted on January 22nd, 2016 by Rach

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their families are invited to join us and camp for a weekend each year.  This year’s Group Family Camp will take place on:

Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th September

A family camp allows parents to come along as well as the youngsters and see what our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts get up to.  It gives younger members who are nervous of camping, the opportunity to experience a Scout Camp whilst having the security of their parents with them.  It will also allow parents and younger siblings the chance to have a go at some of our activities for themselves and have an enjoyable weekend with us.

Whilst the purpose of this camp is to camp as families, we will also allow Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to camp without their parents if necessary but cannot take younger siblings without parents.

More details will be made available later in the year but to see what we go up to at last year’s Family Camp, check our website:

After the success of last year’s event, the Scout Group will once again be organising a Bonfire evening for the local community as well as our members.  There will be a bonfire, indoor and outdoor activities and new for this year will be a BBQ selling hot food.  Unfortunately, due to health & safety restrictions, we will not have a fireworks display but there will be plenty of other things on offer.  This year’s event will take place on:

Friday 4th November

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are asked to wear Scouting tops to this event.
