End of Year Celebration Friday 15th July 2016
We would like to invite all parents, friends and family to join the Scout Group from 6pm – 7.15pm on Friday 15th July for our End of Year Review Evening. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts should also attend from 6pm in FULL uniform.
The End of Year Review is our opportunity to share our achievements over the last 12 months and there will be photos, displays and presentations about what the Scout Group has been up to over the last 12 months.
There will also be awards and presentations as part of the evening and we will be investing our new members into the Group. If your child is due to make their promise, please ensure they have the correct uniform and that their leader is aware of which version of the promise they will be taking in advance.
There will also be a Moving On Ceremony for Beavers who will be joining the Cub Pack in September – these youngsters should attend in Beaver uniform. If they already have Cub uniform (or purchase it before next week) and bring it with them, they will also make their Cub Promise on the night.
The End of Year Review night has always been well supported by parents and the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have a lot to be proud off so we hope this year will be no different!
Family Quiz Night Friday 15th July 2016
Immediately after the End of Year Celebration event, we will be holding a Family Quiz Night to raise funds for the Scout Group and hope many of you will choose to stay and support us.
As well as a quiz with rounds suitable for all ages, there will be plenty of games and activities to provide entertainment for all. Entry to the main quiz will be £1 per adult on the team and 50p per child over 5.
There will also be some refreshments, including hot dogs and burgers on sale as well as a tombola and raffle.
Adults are welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks, however, we kindly ask that you wait until after the End of Year Review part of the evening is over before drinking them. The Scout Group reserves the right to ask people to leave should their behaviour become inappropriate.
We hope you will all support both these events and look forward to seeing many parents, friends and family next Friday. Please do invite anyone who may be interested in hearing what we have achieved at 34th Chesterfield along to either part of the evening to find out more about the Group or to support the fundraising event.
